Default Glow plug question

I'm going to be asking alot of questions in the near future, just trying to learn more about nitro rc.

Glow plugs. In my Losi Speed NT, I have an R3 plug. The hobby shop did not have an R3 plug, so they assumed that an A3 is the same. Is this true? Also, is one brand better than another?

What's the best glow plug for the 3.4 engine?

Thanks

Edit to add: Also, looking at the description of the R3 plugs that AMain sells, these are intended for aircraft, is there a difference?

R3 GP I believe HPI GP, which is a Medium GP. If use a Regular GP, OS #8 will be used. Normal engine use a medium GP. Number on GP is the heat range rating of each GP. Don'T mix up regular and turbo plugs. Turbo plugs has finer threads, can strip threads or damage of button head on regular button head..
