Default does anyone know how mugen glues their tires on the mspec?

Got some proline tires off ebay from the mbx6 mspec. They came already glued to the wheel. And they are absolutely perfect. When i glue them they are not near this good. I would really like to know how to glue tires like that.

I mean it's is totally solid all the way around there is not one single itty bitty part of the tire that is not glued. All four of them on both sides. It's literally perfect, And you have to really look to see ANY glue on the wheel. Just a very thin thin line.

It's almost worth it just to keep buying mspec tires off ebay.

anybody know?

all premounts are hand glued. I recall getting a set with a finger print in the glue bead.

+1. High quality CA glue with some accelerator , brake cleaner, rag and patience. Of course i have a few hiccups once in a while, but for the most part, pretty good. If you look on youtube im sure you will find videos.

take more time to get it ready for gluing, make the bead sit perfect before you even open the bottle

here is something ... take a dryer sheet ( bunce ) and rub your hands with it as if your hands where realy greasy , then start to glue your tires.

most important is be sure your tire and rim will sit perfect before the glue
have all tires allready pre-mounted, then pick up the glue and a tire and lighly raise a lip of one side insert the clean glue tip into the bead between tire and rim and let your finger off the tire where you opened it ,
now with the bottle slightly raised for glue to be at the nozzle swiftly and evenly, with out over squeezing the bottle ROLL or twist the bottle and the tire so the tip of the glue bottle follows along the tire and slides along the rim filling it with glue as it goes anf the tire falls back into place itself after you make a full turn pull out nozzle. install a rubber band if your tires seem to be not seating right... you put too much glue!
then put that tire down and do the other side only when the glue is completly dry, next day if you can wait!

+1 for that.. i glue most of the guys tires around here also... i had a very good racer try 6 times to glue 1 tire and kept coming off. i took it, cleaned it the best i could, glued it and gave it back. 2 years later it still is glued.. our track wears tires very very slowly. i have used the same set of m2 bowties in my truggy for 2 seasons now and they still have 70% tread left... tq and win just about every week so yes i do drive the truck hard... has a c-6 for power plant....

seat tire on rim
make shure bead and foam are in proper places
use a very small amount of glue
wrap tire with rubber bands or i use electrical tape
wrap tire 2-3 times around very tight
wipe off glue that runs out of bead
let dry for 5-10 mins
perfect bead and will not come apart..

dreaux, it's like learning to tune your nitro
engine or painting your rc bodies. If you do
it enough it will get easier and you will get
better at it the more times you do it.
Just take your time and don't ever let a
set get glued to the dining room table.
I found a roll of wax paper can save your
ars with the ole lady. I admit I did try to
use too much glue that first time. LMAO!
