Default Losi vs AE vs Mugen vs Xray

Question: Not trying to start a war here ( I know its started), but I hear alot about the Xray, Mugen buggies and how much better they are than the Losi and AE, But why dont I see either of them on the podium here in the US. Im not talkin bout club races where only 8 sportsmans showed up. Im talkin about big races.... And I dont care what class or division....
I just think that if a person wants to claim somethings better, then it needs to be proof of that product being better - like stats, testing, trophies, ect.

All of those vehicles are capable of winning it just depends what car suits you driving style. The reason why you see Losi, and Team Associated are at the top of the podium all the time is because they spend the most money on big name drivers. So because of that stats mean almost nothing. Those people racing can be fast on a track with a Tyco RC vehicle. You will notice that overseas Mugen/Xray/etc get more podiums overseas then they do in North America.

Don't go leaving Hot Bodies out of your debate..

The cheapest kit on the market and it is cleaning up..

But, as Shanty & FatDaddy said it is because all kits are equal enough, and that Losi and AE spend more money on Top Level Drivers..

Don't forget Kyosho either.. The Most dated kit, and it is still doing well. Tebo would likely have won Truggy at the pit if not for the crash and broken A-arm..

I also agree that any of the above manufacturers' cars all have a similar chance of winning, assuming that their drivers are up to the task that day, because they all make great machines.

driving style has a lot to do with it but for me I
have found after having AE and Losi buggy and truggys
that I like the Losi cars they just seem to suit me better
my lap times went down a bit (I'm still slow)and they are easier
to work on you just have to drive them all and find that one you like
and only you can do that

Like so many said before me, choose your flavor. They are all capable of winning.

Yeah it's funny about that. There's still this obsession about price, if it's too cheap it can't be good. Kyosho is unbelievably expensive(50-60% more over here) and they just as much as the rest of them. , unly they suck your wallet dry at the same time.

Im not talkin bout drivers - Im talking about the actual car it self...... and the fact that people say mugen sucks, losi sucks, this and that sucks. and to be honest if xray was the better car, then why is it out sold 20 to 1 here in the US. I would think that real racers would buy it regardless of who drives what, if it was so superior.

Real racers do buy Xray/Mugen/HB/etc. A major reason Losi sells a lot of cars is because they just want to run what Drake is, same goes with Associated. I am not selling all people do, but you can't say it is not a reason. The marketing here in North America for those vehicles is huge compared to others and is the major reason why they sell more here. But overseas it is almost the other way around.

Like everyone has said, all of the cars are very capable of winning. Each have their positives and negatives. All of the brands mentioned above are very equal in technology and handling on the track. In the end it all comes down to driver.

people assume associated is an american company so americans buy that

the top american drivers drive for associated and Losi so americans buy that

any of the top buggies will win with th right driver, that is all
