We visited him for about 4 hours. He seemed spirited, almost as much so as he normally is. Of course I had to joke with him about potential nicknames we all were thinking of. Up until this point, he had not really been eating solid foods. We treated him to some fine authentic mexican food (take out of course) since that was what he was craving He woofed it down pretty well. At the end of the visit, he had been given his pain meds about 30 mins before he was needing to use the restroom again (probably to release the gatorade he had with his meal). He got up pretty easily (under medication). So it appears time will be his best friend at this point. Also, as of now, there doesn't appear to be any reason he cannot go home on Friday. Believe me, although the night time nurse is cute (or so he says), he is ready to get out

He wanted to thank everybody for being there for him in this time of need.

Cheers!
Truly Amazing. This is miracle witnessed first hand. Our prayers are with you and your family Brad. We will pray for a speedy recovery for you.

I spoke with Brad today, the hospital wants to keep him for another week and a half for PT but he doesn't want to stay. Other than that he is good, though he said it's more difficult to get antacids than pain meds..

Heartburn from laying down all day. Someone needs to smuggle in a costco size bottle of rolaids.

Did anyone update us on the actual condition of his body. Broken bones etc.

Hi folks,

Sorry I haven't been online lately. I'm getting better, and I appreciate all the kind words and concern. I'll post up a pic here- looks pretty shocking but the ugly part isn't the painful part- the head is barely noticed in the overall scheme of pain. I'll be back on more frequently as I feel better.

I've been home a week now, but still not feeling so hot,

I hope everyone has a great day, and I'll see ya at the track before long.
