The best thing I ever got for r/c was to start my own race series.

Since then my wife has not said one word about traveling to a race.

I cant believe the personal transponder only came up once. Either most people here dont race or have never had one.

I was perfectly happy with laps getting hand jammed into the computer. Spendy little bastards for what we get out of the deal.

If it's just tools, I am going to have to say a good set of hex wrenches. You use them every time you work on anything. Just think about trying to use L wrenches to work on everything!

If we can include actual gear, it would either be my first Spektrum radio or personal transponder.

Powerhouse engine warmer. I will never regret spending that $65.

My AMB Personal Transponders. I have had them forever now and they still work great. (I think about a decade now.) Definitely the longest lasting piece of RC equipment I've ever had.

#1. Personal Transponders for sure.

#2. Was selling my Losi 8B and 8T and purchasing a MBX6 and MBX6T.

#3. Stocking up on Panther Tires all winter so I can burn fresh rubber at every race all summer!
