Sorry to confuse, I run lipo to power my receiver , my starter box and my M11. They may cost a bit more, but i never have to worry about battery charging at the track.. and i have never had a problem in 2 yrs...best money i have spent .....

DITTO...My first car was a Tamiya Hotshot though. But TOTALLY agree with SS technology. SINGLE GREATEST advancement in RC.

+2

My first race car was a Kyosho Optima Pro, but I had several Tamiya "toy cars" before. Spread Spectrum makes life so easy!

Tools which have made things much easier... my ryobi power screwdriver and my 6 gal compressor. Next on the list might have to be a simple funnel for refilling my fuel bottle.

1st - Without a doubt it would be my DX3R. Gotta love 2.4GHz DSM2, and 7.4v straight through the receiver.

2nd - MIP Thorp Hex Drivers

3rd - OFNA Blue Top Starter Box with 4S Lipo

Losi exhaust spring tool.......nuff said.

Well could be any make, had a Racers edge one before that was a bit too flimsy, the Losi is nice and sturdy.

That definitely is pretty much the only way to go about starter boxes, not only you get a longer charge but also super torque because of the high, much higher C rating to turn any motor over.

Maybe that's why I can't get my Novarossi started, I was trying to run my starter box with 4 AA batteries and it wouldn't turn it over.

Just kidding!
