Default heat cycle

In my opinion the heat cycle engine break in is the best.I race Karts and thats how we break in the kt 100,s .TNT mods site has a very well described break in procedure. Take your time it will pay off.

IMO it's best to have a little load on the engine. Put it in the car and run it 1/4 thorttle for 4-5 min. Let cool and do it some more. Go through 5-6 tanks then increse the time 6-7 min and increase throttle. The object is to heat treat the sleeve and piston with little stress until the pinch in the sleeve at tdc is out.

It's recommend to just run the car for the heat cycle method and not to do it on a starter box.

+1 on this!

Your main goal is to relieve stresses, and mate parts with as little unnecessary wear to the con-rod as possible.

1-ALWAYS, ALWAYS, pre-heat the ENTIRE engine!!! That's from the 1'st start to the last, & every start inbetween! ( This is THE secret to longevity )

2-keep the rpm's as low as you can until fully broken-in-(no wot)
