B3 is a great engine. It likes Mccoy MC8 and Odonell OD99 plugs, runs decently on most pipes, best on the 2013 pipes. It doesn't have top end with the fastest engines but if your track has a straight less than 200ft, you may never notice. Be careful to align the carb as straight as possible relative to the direction the servo link, the alloy carb body/slide can be a little sticky depending on fuel.

Im a big fan of the b3, especially for the money. the biggest negative is only decent run times. great short track( indoor )engine. it makes alot of power / torque off the bottom. runs much stronger with 30% nitro. I have had success at larger tracks with going up a tooth ( or 2 ) on the clutch bell and running a 086 pipe for top end. if geared right you can run with anybody. great reliability, underestimated performer.

Slasher Man, thanks for picking up one of our engines. I've noticed that you have started about 3 different threads asking questions about the engine that you picked up. If you could please try to post all of your questions on a single thread as it will make it easier to follow. Now regarding your questions the B3 is a great small to medium track engine. Pair it with the 2013 pipe set which we are sending up to A-Main today and you will have a killer low cost set up.

The B3's are shimmed out of the box for 30% fuel so that is what I would run in them. Regarding plugs go with a OD97 or a similar hot type plug such as out #5. I think that about covers it. For the rest I would not worry too much about the get a new front bearing because you are going to need one comment. The B3 uses the same front bearing as our B5 and we have moved hundreds and hundreds of them in the last months and I have not heard a single comment about a front bearing going bad. Periodically things happen and I'm sure that one can fail but the odds of that happening are the same as with any other brand. Hope this helps! If you have nay other questions or require additional information please feel free to ask.

Regards,

Ron
