Default Not bad for an RTR

Another fun day of racing at the Barona track in SoCal. I was a bit nervous early on because they combined the 1/8 nitro buggy classes (Sportsman and Expert). During qualifying I played with some new lines and got a few sections down (back triple mainly). Ended up qualifying 4th (and was happy with that) and started employing what I had learned in the quals (didnt have any practice time because I was on my way home from working a 24 hour shift).

Made some consistent laps (for me anyways ) and found myself racing for second. Went back and forth a few times; what a blast. Made a cool pass for second over the back triple after I'd gotten passed on the inside. When he dove in there it forced me to go wide so I had plenty of room for a run and pinned it. Everyone was watching and the announcer was giving the play by play which was really cool.

Car ran great and I had a blast. Engine is making some great power now (needed some more tuning) and I ended up finishing second. Time to start running expert I think.

Big thanks to bmsgangster of SCRC for the pics.

Cool pic. I like the suspension fully compressed before takeoff.

In all fairness, I think the only thing left that is from the RTR is the chassis, engine (though it has the turbo button, 30% and an RE11 pipe), 3 shock shafts, and the pivot blocks.
