Default Shimming diffs

Im in the process of rebuilding the front and rear diffs on my losi 2.0 buggy, my question is does the center diff need to be shimmed also? Or just rebuild it.

Nah no need to shim the center, the only reason you shim the front and rear is to set your gear mesh, whereas on the center you're setting your gear mesh with the motor, and also, if your center diff slops around front to back alot, you shouldnt need to shim it, something else is wrong.

Are you talking about the shims that go on the outside by the inserts in the gear case or are you talkkng about the shims on the inside of the diff that go under the sun gear.
