Default What's the best all around tire for offroad buggy?

I am new to the buggy racing and want to have a variety of the best tires to race with. I have some Pro-line caliber tires and am looking for some other tires that will be good. I mainly race at two tracks one is gonna be kinda rocky and clay dirt. The other track is a pretty tacky track for qualifying but becomes pretty dry for the mains. Sorry but I tried looking through posts and threads but couldn't find anything that was specifically towards this topic.

Thanks in advance!

when you are at these tracks did look at what the fast guys were running? There would be your best answer.

If going to the track blind and like proline having a set of crimefighters and holeshots with your calibers should help.

Well we haven't started running at the tracks this year yet. I was just trying to get a general idea. I will definitely pay attention to what the faster guys are running. Thanks

I'm finding the AKA Crossbrace to be pretty versatile.

I always keep Panther Gators, Raptors and Boa's in Soft compound with me at all times so I'm covered.

Komodo 2's are a great tire. They work on most surfaces in Med Soft compoud but will catch a rutt or traction roll at times but they are a great all around tire. So are Gators. You can ask the fast guys at the track what they are running but what works for them may not suit your driving style. Find a consistent racer at the track and pick their brain.

The best all around tire from pl is gonna be crimefighters m3 cause they don't pack in the softer dirt and they still work really good in the main line, however I have not found a track where the calibers don't work as good, exept when the track is brand new fresh and has no line that's where crime fighters or bow fighters are great.

Aka I-beams are great for all around use to.

I cant beleive nobody has mentioned CityBlocks. They have to be the best all around tire out today. Last year I was at 5-6 diff tracks and they at least worked "ok" at every one. I like to keep a fresh set with me and a half beat set as the half beat ones can be good when the track starts to pack down a little.

So the smaller the tread the better for a packed track and the taller the tread, better for loamy tracks?

I think the best all around tire is one like a losi eclipse, proline bowtie, AKA I-beam. I think these tires are fairly similar enough.
