I can't find anything on this, so lets talk about how you maintain your brakes. How often do you change the disc or pads? How do you clean them? I'm personally running fiber disc so I make sure to not get them wet or get any lubricants on them. Is there anything I should do to them?

You shouldn't have to anything to the carbon disks. I don't think you have to use the brake pads with them. I could be wrong. I've never used them but i've read a few places where the pads weren't needed. You definetly don't want to get them wet but I heard the drop in performance wasn't nearly as severe if you were to get the metal disks wet.

I would clean the brake pads and the disks with brake parts cleaner or some kind of degreaser.

Keep them clean, that's it they shoul last a very long time, I clean mine with a shot of brake cleaner before quals and mains.

I run the stock RC8B brakes. I normally clean them with some automotive carb or brake cleaner. Then I sand them down and install them back in the car. I reset the gap to 1mm and run. I don't change to a new set until the hex gets really out of shape.

Some of the composite disks will "glaze." If the surface gets glossy looking "de-glaze" with some sandpaper. (make sure to do it on a flat surface.) I clean mine with denatured alcohol... but brake cleaner is probably good.

+1 a couple strokes across some 150 grit paper will bring them back to new!
