Now everyone I have a question, talking about weights and engine - with all the money going in to these things, who can actually drive what they have?

hmm i think i can drive it lol. actually i dont have that much wrapped up in my truggy $300 for kit,$220 for js race prep, think i paid $60 for both my servos on here and there almost brand new (s9351,s9541),and $35 for pipe. so little over $600 but that was my cost for truggy and motor and pipe.

Here's my RC8T, ready to race with servos, engine, pipe, battery, receiver, PT, rims, tires, full tank of fuel, and body.

I know I should have used a half a tank of fuel instead, but this this way it's maximum weight:

THANX NEOBART, that seems awful heavy for the famed "light" Losi truck!

Is it stock?

Check the "criteria" post, page 1or2,I think.

thanx man, that's pretty light! BTW, someone else said 1/2 tank of fuel, NOT ME! Check page 2 for the "CRITERIA" POST, it's meant to keep things even.
YOU did it right!

Not stock.

Quickchange mount and adjustable hinge pin braces front and rear. Plus the paint is really thick on the body.

With the rough tracks we have over here, light isn't really an advantage.

I'm guessing that the stock Losi rims and tires may have something to do with the excess fat Neo, but not sure on that one though. I weighed mine with partly worn (about 85% tread left )JC Crosshairs, with standard Rulux Half-ups. The JL engine also feels considerably lighter than my Picco does, but I didn't weigh them before I sent my Picco out for some TLC.

Just to clarify the weight of the Tamiya. I'm sure the dirt doesnt help, rebuilding this weekend
Everything is stock except for the Tamiya light weight chassis. Truggy is 100% race ready, just pulled off of the track.
With body, 8 lbs 14.8 ozs. or 4048 grams
[IMG][/IMG]
Without body (lots of shoe goo) 3910 grams or 8 lbs 9.9 ozs.

As you can see, VERY light truggy.
