well i havnt tried the hobbico servos some say, they are good and some dont.
but you should look at ,the orion vortex servo, there high quality and i run the 1007 orion servo on my 1/8 buggy, for the steering and no problems at all.
and others that own a orion servo ,havnt heard a bad thing about them.

thanks guys thats what I thought.

I know its not a towerhobbies rebadge cuz they are a supplier not a manufacurer. I did think that the hobbico servo was a rebadged high tronickis servo, but im fine with that. They make a great servo from what I hear. Ill be happy with the Hobbico CS-170

it must be a hitec port. the replacement gear set on tower hobbies says:
This is the replacement MK Servo Gear Set 3PC for
use with Hitec HSR5995/HSC5996/5997/5998MPG1 Servos
and the Hobbico CS-170 Servo.

used on hitec, and hobbico. looks like the hobbico is $90. although for another $10 i would just get the hitec. no doubts where its from, and no hassles if you ever need service

+1

I don't know about their warranty... but I have a 5955 and it's great. Given that this is a rebadged 5955, should be a great servo.

I run the 170 and 150. I have gone through 2 150's, and 1 170. I sent the bad servos off to be repaired (Manf. default) and they said it would be better to replace the servos for like (140 bucks) 10 bucks cheaper than what I could buy them from from Towers. Or they could send them back broken and charge me 20 bucks to ship MY servos back.

Poor customer service, I will run these until they break and then I will switch to something else, but in the meantime I stuck two Hi-Tec stickers on the cases of my Hobbico's. So if you haven't already made the buy, I'd look elsewhere...

Ohhh, and the 170 servo I'm still running, a solder broke after a couple of tanks at a race and I had to solder it back.

jr 8800. 85bux easy (maybe less) and 3yr warranty. i always use futaba servos in my 1/10 stuff. but when it comes to 1/8 i like that coverage.

that tower hobbies model is also a re-badged 5955tg. but integra is right, you should just spend a little more to get hitec. the warranty that comes with it is the best in the business.
