Default How to blow your engine...

I have collected few videos of blowing engines.

Don't try this at home!

Man, that Chevy small block sure was hurting! The nitro engine blow ups were definitely tame by comparison.

One of the guys I race with had a really cool engine meltdown. We had just finished our new track layout, and we were running trucks around to get the rack run in, and try to get an idea on lap times. Well, he put in some decent early laps, then a really fast lap.

Right after that, he went to clear the triple at the end of our front straight, and he rod let go while the truggy was in the air! I wish I could have gotten that on video...it was epic!

NO engine would fail like this just in a few minutes if a load is connected. All these engines didn't have any load so it could spin past it limit. But pretty cool vids.

It makes me sad to see the torture of the methanol engines .

I love the little bandits

I'm thinking to do the same test with an old Novarossi with no load.
