I'm tell'n ya, the mbx6t body from mugen is your best all around bet. I was able to slam the body low enough so it doesn't look funny. I know you've seen some of the bodies that guys have posted, and most of them look like they sit waaaaaay to high. all you have to do is get the longer body mounts for the rear like you already did, and when you trim the mugen body, just trim it 1/4th of an inch below the cut line on the sides. the body sits low, the front and rear shocks and shock towers fit as if they were molded for the xt8.
my pic doesn't do it justice.

I'm running the "old" short-chassis XT8... but I've tried my buddy's Mugen body, fits just fine. (Other than the engine cutout location... the Mugen is slightly different... but of course that isn't pre-cut, so no big deal. It is just a LITTLE tight on the mudguards... oh well.
I like your paint too! But, I couldn't drive it... I need the bright colors for visibility- hence my obnoxious choice of colors.

I think I'm going to put a stock MBX6T body on it. And I already have the Mugen body posts, but not lowered. Easy enough to change that. I was thinking about doing the Bulldog too... if I changed the window mask it isn't too bad. (I hate the windows on that and the Losi and look-alikes)

Although I have to admit I was tempted to get a "Losi clone" body and paint it pearl white, with a little smiley face on the front with it's tongue hanging out.

don't forget, j concepts makes a body that fits the mbx6t and looks very similar to the stock mugen mbx6t body. I'd say the only advantage that the j concepts body has is that it's thicker plastic.

I don't think the "Bulldog" looks too bad if I do something like the attached pic. (Note, just an edited copy of ProLine's photo... I used the Losi one because it has some of the same lines I wanted to use.) If I re-do the window masks to make it look more like a regular truck I PERSONALLY think it helps. What do y'all think?
