I'm tell'n ya, the mbx6t body from mugen is your best all around bet. I was able to slam the body low enough so it doesn't look funny. I know you've seen some of the bodies that guys have posted, and most of them look like they sit waaaaaay to high. all you have to do is get the longer body mounts for the rear like you already did, and when you trim the mugen body, just trim it 1/4th of an inch below the cut line on the sides. the body sits low, the front and rear shocks and shock towers fit as if they were molded for the xt8.

my pic doesn't do it justice.

Looks really good. IMHO that is THE best looking body made for ANY truggy, stock or aftermarket. I just don't want people to think I'm running a Mugen when I'm not. I'm torn...

I'm running the "old" short-chassis XT8... but I've tried my buddy's Mugen body, fits just fine. (Other than the engine cutout location... the Mugen is slightly different... but of course that isn't pre-cut, so no big deal. It is just a LITTLE tight on the mudguards... oh well.

I like your paint too! But, I couldn't drive it... I need the bright colors for visibility- hence my obnoxious choice of colors.

That mugen body is slowly growing on me...
Will have to try one when its time to replace my current one.
Mine is a proline shift for the jammin X2.

That's the same body I'm running on my XT8 right now. I hope to get a Bulldog or OEM MBX6T body soon though.

Nope... the MBX6T at least looks marginally like a truck.

Although I have to admit I was tempted to get a "Losi clone" body and paint it pearl white, with a little smiley face on the front with it's tongue hanging out.

Im running the Proline RC8T Bulldog body, fits perfectly in length and width, front shocks just touch but its all good. Lower the rear mounts and its perfect.

Thanks Ari, I'll keep that in mind the next time.

don't forget, j concepts makes a body that fits the mbx6t and looks very similar to the stock mugen mbx6t body. I'd say the only advantage that the j concepts body has is that it's thicker plastic.

That looks great..I'm glad you've decided to go with one of these styles.
