Default Turbo plugs

Question, I have been looking this up for a while and destroyed a cople head buttonès while at it, Novarossi and OS turbo plugs seem to me to be compatible, the only ones I hade issues developing leake were the GRP ones when used on OS or Novarossi, but I hear of people having issues using OS plugs on Novarossi, this is not what I found out in my research.
What are your findings?

From my findings and i do alot of testing the only glow plugs that work on all engines not matter what brand and port and , work efficiently on all engines are the plugs from odonnell 77T,87T,97T and the 99T.

Nothing else comes close .

you can use the OS plugs on Nova engines just dont go back to Nova plugs, engine will leak and flame outs will occur.

cheers

novarossi and OS are diff and you will mess up the button. OD plus are all i use in my novarossi. They are alot easier to tune as well you have a little bigger window to be off on your tune.

this is what I found some time ago :

Sirio/Picco/IDM/GRP Ninja/GRP/JP/Trinity have a Picco taper

RB/Novarossi/O'Donnell/OS/Dynamites have a Novarossi taper

in my old JX ninja i used OS and OD plugs with no problems.
In RB OD plugs work great and RB is same as Nova

os works and seals fine, BUT os doesnt have the right temp range for nova. you wont get one to idle right

OK, here is my first hand experience.

OS plugs seem to work ok in Nova motors but Nova plugs WILL LEAK in OS motors. Weird but I have seen it happen first hand.

Nova plugs work OK in Sirio motors but don't bother, Sirio plugs are MUCH better. Sirio plugs are fantastic in Nova motors.

GRPs work in Nova motors.

Piccos like Picco or Sirio plugs.

So if you have a Nova motor, I would advise Sirio or GRP plugs.

Haven't tried any other combinations.

SERIOUSLY- Why cant some reputable entity measure the f'n tapers on glow plugs and list their findings once and for all!!!!!!!!

I wrote to Derek at x rc mag and he didnt seem interested awhile ago. I hate that this mystery keeps lingering.

There is a thread on here somewhere in which someone did just that. You know what they found? THEY ARE ALL DIFFERENT. The differences are slight in most cases but no two were identical so what good is such a comparison going to do you?

Bottom line, if you want a perfect fit, use the same brand plug. If you don't like the plugs your motor manufacturer makes, try something else and hope for the best.
