ring and pinion grease.

I'm going thru my ofna truggy for the first time and its my first try at going thru differentials. There is grease on the ring and pinion and I need to know what is the best kind of grease to put back on them? Also, is there oil inside these diffs as well? What would be a good all around weight of oil to use in the diff for just bashing and driving practice? Thanks.

Mobil 1 grease(red) on ring and pinion.

What truggy is it? I would go to the ofna website and grab a setup. or to be safe something like 7k-15k-3k or something similar.

I use regular axle grease, the sinthetic kind on all my rigs, it's been working well for the last couple of years...

+1 on the mobil 1 synthetic. I use just enough to coat the teeth on the ring gear no more and even thwy is too much but the black is still on the gears after many many gallons prob close to 8-10 on the current r/p.

Mobil 1 grease was what I used for years . Then a rep for Schaffers oil stopped into the shop. I tried their products, on oilfield equipment, dozers, drilling rig ,trucks etc, Schaffers Extreme Pressure grease is the best grease hands down that I have used. This grease will not come off on your ring and pinion. This is sold at our local Napa buy the tube, check it out Ive have had friends switch to this grease just after one use.:)
