I have a Futaba 3PM that, while it works well, does not like heat. It worked great until I upgraded my buggy which moved the receiver closer to the engine.

Aside from only supporting digital, the EX-5 UR looks like the ideal entry-level radio.

The EX5 may not be all flashy and have drop down and swivel wheel, but it is actually the fastest radio on the market. (Until the Eurus hit the shores) Yes even faster than the EX 1 UR.

The EX 5 is 2.4Ghz, comes with two receivers and a Tx full of functions for under $200

just make sure that you only use it with digital servos. i dont think it'll work with analogs.
