M2C Adjustable Flywheel Kit
 

We are pleased to announce the release of our variable weight 4 shoe flywheel. With the different engines and lighter vehicles, we have found that one weight flywheel does not fit all applications. This model allows you to adjust the weight of the flywheel by 6 grams by adding the 4mm set screws. What this does is allows the motor to spool up at different speeds to help control tire spin. The formula is simple the looser the track the more weight you add. Screws may be installed or removed trackside without removing the engine from the car. i like it but how do you know what ,engine to run the flywheel on though. is it really meant for really ,powerful engines or sport engines also?

i wonder how hard the screws are going to be to get at??? its kinda tight by my fly wheel now. i couldnt emagine putting in and taking out screws there.

A long ball end driver is the way to go. It's pretty easy to get to them. They are accessed from the BACKSIDE of the flywheel which on most vehicles is very easy to get to. Most other forms of motor sports use flywheel weight to control power and make it more tractable. We've already seen the benefit of heavier flywheels in our r/c cars, but until now it's been either heavy or light. I've been running this for a couple months now, and it's made my stock Vspec feel much more linear. I am however looking forward to running the JS engines designed by Ed Bridges! Ed's the man. Anyway, by reducing the wheel spin my tires last longer and my mileage has increased. I really can't say that I'd change anything with this kit. Mitch really knocked it out of the park with this one.

This is the Only clutch i Run in Truggy and Now more then likely buggy when i run out my Losi Stock.

I have been looking at getting one of this companies setups to get away from my losi flywheel, just because the 4 screws on a lisi are a pain in the ***. Which one do I need? the losi has a tight fit byt he center diff.

Guys this is the way to go, I got the chance to prototype this product and it dropped 3 seconds on fastlap times compared to a stock fly wheel. Look for increased acceleration because it's noticable.

Are their two of these one for truggy and one for buggy? Are just one for both?

I run it on both buggy and truggy.

One for both (#6027) I started with 2-.90 and 2-.95 springs and 8 screws installed in the flywheel on my MBX6 buggy with 13/46 (stock) gearing, and it was money right off the bat. The extra inertia really makes the motor idle like a dream too.
