Default ofna starter box modifications

I purchased a new ofna chrome top super starter box.I have had enough of the disposable losi boxes that seem to just quit working for no apperant reason. I cannot get the wheel to engage the flywheel on my losi 8ight 1.0 buggy. The wheel is about 3mm too low . I have the quick change motor mount . I would like to know what modifications I need to do to get this toad to hop. The chrome top hits the top of the motor on the box . Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. THANKS

I have the same box - what worked for me, was to allow the chassis to lay flat on the top of the box - then use the posts to hold the front and rear lower control arms (For alignment to the wheel) then from the bottom of the box you'll have to screw out the contact washer a few turns. This will allow the circuit to close quicker / which will allow the motor to spin up faster before the flywheel meets the wheel.

Note - I'm not a fan of the buggy sitting on top of the alignment posts.

Hope that makes sense - let us know what comes of it.

or do what i did, simple, take the chrome cover off and the wheel now has plenty of room to touch, the chrome top does nuthing for it to work. Also u MAY need a new wheel. they are cheap and all over ebay and hobby sites.
