situation is getting more confusing,
the rear centre drive shaft which appears to be too long to fit properly, has nothing written on it, but the front shaft, which fits perfectly fine as you can see on the picture, has R4 on it. Now, I am not sure which chassis I was given with the car, but whether it is R0 or R4, how could the front shaft properly fit being R4 and the rear one was too tight, being probably the shortest one. The conversion kit is the original by Agama. Any idea ? I am lost

if the CVDs for arms are longer than the CVDs for the center driveline, it could be the problem.. I have a feeling that I have read somewhere, that the A8 has all 6 CVDs of equal length.. which is probably not true then

hope it is the case.. though the front R4 is still a mystery to me

by the way, my hobby store says, that AGM4901 is meant for A8 F / R Center CVD set .... but F/R was a +2mm chassis, right?

Correct. They were the same length in the O.G. 2011??? or 2010??? I've lost count as to when the A8 was introduced. I bought one that year I know that. LOL.

so I was told by the previous owner, that it is the basic length chassis, R0
so all the shafts should be of equal length.. now I completely dont understand the tightness issue.

thanks everyone for assistance

On the new A215 car, is the wing position relative to the center line of the rear axle remain the same as it is on the A8?

From what I could measure the A215 wing is 2mm closer to the front, the wing mounts also have different part No.s.

Hi everyone,
which springs do you you suggest to use on a brushless a8 with weight between 3800-3900g on a technical rougher bumpier track? I really wanted to go w progressive springs, I like the way they feel on my other car (soak bumps nicely being soft at the top yet geting harder when compressed more).
Would you suggest to go for brown, or the blue ones (I see what nitro guys are running but I am not sure, since I am like 500grams heavier). currently I am running rear white-green and front white-red, non prog version of course

thanks!

progressive black front and rear worked fine on ebuggy, running thunder power 4300 pack...so yes it was in the range of 3700-3800. maybe try both black and brown and see wjat you like better. i think blue will be too hard.

thanks for input, I will consider it, I will test softer front tomorrow and see how it feels (since now I have harder springs in the front). it should be better (I want a bit more on power steering) and in that case I ll be thinking abt yours black/brown.. though then also brown f/blue r is on my mind, anyone else have any experience to share?

its a shame agama does not provide real rates for the springs.. I see something is medium, but hard to figure out without trying it, how much the "medium" actually is
