I wonder how well the A8 buggy would respond to the latest A215 setups? 20k in front diff, ride heights, pick-up points etc.

Thanks

215 uses the same gearing as the A8Fr cup, and the guys running prototype parts before the wide chassis were using 20/3/5 or 20/20/5 and it worked a treat in some locations if you want to try. you'll actually find setups on nemo racings website very similar to the things being used on 215.

Can I use this part and completely eliminate the rear battery/receiver box?

yes you can, the FRcup edition came like that, BUT, you need to be sure you are going to fit your RX and battery in the front box alone. if you have a tiny RX like these newer ones and a smaller batery you should be fine. I ran hump packs in mine with the RX also in there...was a tight fit but it went in. some ppl used the Sworks L-ion pack withch is basically what is pictured above...perfect fit then

by the way, does anyone have an idea how to make the rear wing mounts more durable? I keep breaking them arround the bottom screw hole.. Do you think that only 1 instead of 3 of those aluminium "stiffeners" in between the mounts would add flex and prevent from the breakage? Any idea appreciated.

This car will respond very well to the 20/3/5 diff setup.

Going up to 12,500 in front diff was a game changer for Hunter in this car. Makes the car very easy to drive harder, more consistantly.

I'll see if I can get a setup from his old car for you guys.

I have been told that the Agama springs work on a buggy that trying out. It is too new to have a sortment out. So what is a basic set of springs that I can tryout. I am don't have this buggy so I don't understand the spring colors.

And where I might get them and part numbers thanks.

guys, did you notice, that the rear centre drive shaft is kinda tight in between the centre diff's cup and the rear diff housing?

I happened to break 1 after a hard landing, bending it to the point of it giving up
I managed to heavily bend another one lately.
I do the car kinda hard, but still, on my friend's xray, there are a few mms of space in the cup, but with agama, there is at best 1mm to allow for flexing during an impact

I screwed one of the long aluminium posts for nitro motor mounts to the chassis, to decrease the flex (have not tried it's performance yet)....

does anyone experience the same problem? knows about any solution?

There's a standard chassis, and an R4 (+4mm) extended chassis, so there is also a standard chassis center-rear driveshaft, and a longer r4 driveshaft.

using the longer R4 driveshaft on a shorter chassis could be causing your issue.

Sounds like a cool idea to try out. I remember it being a trend to run that on mugens (MBX6?) but it seems to have gone away.

do the new a215 towers bolt right onto the a8 buggy?

thanks, that could be the issue, I did not buy the driveshafts, so I dont know which type they are, but I ll get a new one for my chassis and see how it fits
