Arrow Question about my hot bodies d8.

well, i have finished my first 1/8 buggy kit build. actually i have been done with it for about a week or so, just waiting on the engine(werks b5) to come in the mail. I never paid it no attention or even thought about it but my friend pointed something out to me. I had the D8 sitting on a box. My firend went to turn the wheels and the front 2 wheels went forward and the rear wheels went backwards. My question is...isnt all the wheels supposed to go in the same direction? but when i took the d8 off the box and pushed it slowly with my hand everything worked as its supposed to.
One more question-my center differentials seem to be leaking. they are not leaking very much. I could leave it ontop of something all day and come back at night and there will be a small drop of oil. at first I thought it was coming from my shocks and then i seen the center differential gear and it had a thin coat of oil on it. Is that supposed to happen?

yes, if you turn both front wheels forward the rear wheels should turn forward as well

the diffs only go in one way so you should be fine and as fair as the diff leaking did you put the casket in the diff i havent had a problem with them leaking. and they are a HB thread on down if you have any more question just ask.

did you overfill the center diff with oil, that will cause it to leak out a little bit.
but a little bit still comes out, even if you dont overfill the diff.

If you put it on the ground and can push it will be fine if you put it on the ground and it would move then you would have a diff in backwards.

so.. i shouldnt worry about the wheels then? like i said before.. it rolls fine. its just when the wheels are elevated and off the ground they turn opposite ways. and im sure i put the gasket in the differential, ill be checking that here soon.

For the forward/backwerard wheel thing, check your diffs (front and rear), you installed one of them in the wrong direction (when you open the front cover of the diff house, you have to see your diff gear on the left side of the box).

On the center diff, same, check it maybe you put too much oil on it and its leaking because of that.

For any other info, go to the actual Hotbodies D8 Thread :

bye

about the diff open is up check if the gasket is in place and get some silcone (very little bit) and spread it about the casing. this happened to me and i did that then is stopped. i also finshed my D8 about a week ago too..so i hope this helps cause i did it in my d8 and uncles mugen mbx6.

we are not trying to confuse this guy ? ?

either your front or rear diff has been put in backwards, go back to your instruction manual, take the cover(front half of your front diff housing) of and compare it to the pic in the instructions.

good luck mate

thanks everyone for your help. I got the problem fixed now. the rear diff was put in backwards. all i had to do was open the case up and flip it. and the center diff was leaking because i had put too much oil in it.
