Temp tuning sucks...simple as that. To many variables. Get one you feel is right for you. If you feel the Reedy has problems don't go with it. I've got a Reedy and it's great. So many engines, so many different opinions..

Between these two, I'd pick the JPX again. I think Reedy is still in their beta phase.

Many factors directly affect runtime, and clutch setup is certainly one of them.

The ninja motor is good, but when i keep up with your ninja with my 5 gallon old reedy, why spend the extra cash.

250-280 is not to hot to me. I've seen OS, RB and Nova Rossi tune in that range. So I don't see the problem.

Best of Luck on your purchase.

I have a break-in and tune piece by Brandon Melton factory AE/Reedy driver if you want it. The break-in should info should work with any engine. There are so many people use to do it.

So many things go into run time . Clutch , pipe , track size , driving style and so on . I have got as much as 9 mins on my stock jpx .21 in buggy but it was in a race i had a pretty good lead & was conservative on the throttle . Can't comment on the reedy as i haven't had one . But i will prob. be buying
another jpx as i have had good luck with my current one. There are so many choices in the 200 dollar range it can be confusing so i'll just stick with what i've had luck with . I don't tune by temp. but do ck. temp. to make sure it's not too hot . If an engine is at 250 & makes good power with good smoke i am o.k. with that , so if that's what the reedy likes i think it's o.k.

The Werks B5 is $200, gets 10+ mins and I have yet to see a complaint.

So when I pass you with my RC8B/Reedy I will wave to you. Enjoy you Werks B5.

We all know my engine is faster than your engine. I win.
