yes!!! picco motors are VERY picky with plugs.... my odonnell 97t in my jammin .21 burned out and i just grabed a os p3 out of my box went to start it and it started back firing on me and stuttering like it wanted nothing to do with the plug same problems you are having,
went back to an odonnell 97t all the problems went away.

so run a picco/odonnell plug.
