Default LITHIUM FAMILY BATTERY'S SWELLING ,BALLOONING

HI GUYS

Just some info that will really interest you guys .I have done some study on the cells now for about 3 months ,asked many questions and visited alot of battery factories in china and i have some interesting news to let you all know.

The problems with ballooning, swelling etc is not from charging on lipos and discharging etc .

The problem is in the production process .The reason why they balloon is that the cells have a chemical imbalance with impurities and contamination within the chemical when produced and the reason why is that lipos ,lifep04's and other chemical batteries are made on the same machine one machine for all especially in china and when production is changed from one to another there are still traces of different chemicals in the production line which get mixed in with the next process only at the beggining of the producton run .so thats why you see only some batteries ballooning and swelling and not all the production .A small percentage on the production run will swell.

The way we fixed this problem at henergy was to produce a new machine to seperate lifep04 and lipo production thus no chemical impurities no contamination. No matter how much you clean the machine how perfect you get it there is always as chance that at the start of every production you will have contamination thus causing a chemical imbalance and swelling of the cells in time. Think about it this way when you mix different raw materials including water, sugar flower in an oven of even dry ice and water in a bottle what happens if the seal is not strong enough to handle the pressure from the inside kaboom i better stop there or youd think im a omb expert LOL. Thats why there are seperate machines now for production at henergy .

we have also perfected the sealing process as well with new high tech up to date heat sealers and press machinery.

Battery's are only as good as there production process, the comtamination free raw materials, the machines and people who manufacture them .

As for charging as long as you use a good charger and balance the cells everytime you charge the battery's and use the proper settings you will not have a problem .

Henergy have got it right especially in china where production of high quality battery's is a major problem .

Just some small info to understand production of battery's especially lithium.

very interesting and i thought it was from over charging

haha you just doubled the amount of warranty claims on lipo and life batteries. Great info Cobra, its good to know what goes on behind the scenes !

so if a non "chemically imbalanced" battery's voltage falls below the threshold it wouldn't swell up? How many cycles a would a henergy batt last?
