Default how to tell if you have big bore shocks?

i bought some shocks off a mate and just wondering is thier any significant way to tell if they are big bore shocks or just standard?

also is there a big difference when using big bore shocks?

for which car?
big bores are big.
these days big bores are called shocks with internal diameter 15mm+
Mugen has 15mm, HB or Losi 16mm, ofna 16mm and 17mm

few years ago 13mm shocks were called big bores

And big bores tend to help over rough surfaces to smooth it out, helps to not let the car get unsettled. smoothe out jumps a bit too. I've heard aome debate over the effectiveness of big bores, but 95% of people like them much better.

Here is a picture of my RC8s the one on the left has standard shocks and the one on the right has BB.
As far as the difference goes.....I'm not good enough to tell the differencebut I now have BB on all of my 1/8 scale cars.
