I can confirm that it's only for fuel protection, I asked it to distributor

When I mentioned heat-shielding tape, I was referring to the throttle servo due to its (seemingly) close proximity to the engine mount.

When I made mention to the team about the servo issue (I to tried the serpent ) they assured me that this should not be an area of concern. The chassis will be 5mm thick and that will disperse a lot of heat. In all the testing and races so far no problems occurred. The servo I believe does not rest on the chassis plate. Also, I asked to have a series of test on the fuel tanks performed to insure proper sealing.

So it should be out in November and we should see some cars in worlds as well. I assume Hupo is there and maybe Brunsden who performed nicely in Pro-Line. Not a stong team so I hope they take advantage of the training option in the worlds track with the new lay-out especially in case the surface does not hold due to a fact that they are no longer allowed to use the nice diesel-whatever stuff.

From the Team Durango website:

Quote:

After years of testing with many hand-made test cars, then more than six months of pre-production testing this year, Team Durango are satisfied that the DNX408 is ready for release. If all goes to plan with production then we expect to be shipping late November; yes 2010.

Why did it take so long?
- A crazy number of final design tweaks, mould changes and material specification revisions have all been carried out over recent months to perfect the car – now it’s ready.
