Gerd Strenge himself which flew in from Berlin and drove both buggys.

ok thanks jzemaxx, now I understand why it sucked, sucked, sucked...., I think Gerd went to AMS only to test something, the victory or podium wasn't in its programs from the beginning I think...

Beyond that, I don't know how good of a driver he is. Kinda like Juraj Hudy: great engineer, not so good driver

Hupo seems to be the point man for the DNX of the (maybe) 3 drivers (Strenge & Skelding being the other two) that I know of.

My business partner was there, he said the car did not handle well at all. It may be Gerd's set-up or driving skills, but he was not impressed at all, on the other hand that other new buggy which has already been released he said it looked like it is poised to dominate the RC scene...

no parts breakage to report on the Durango

I was there as well. I agree with your partner....one looked unsettled the other looked like it was running glue on the tires...lol

Thats good news because I am really looking forward to its release. I love all the innovative cutting edge ideas, especially the bulkhead access screws and the re-enforced shock towers..All the photos and reviews I have seen of the Durango pretty much made up my mind to get one. I was extreamely disappointed to hear any negativity about its driving characteristics

I agree except that there was 4 tires companies there selling product and he should have asked one of the pros which tires to go get..why fly all the way from Germany only to race all weekend with the wrong tires? $40 and he could have enjoyed himself instead of ice skating..kinda silly if you ask me

I looked at the car and it was running the same basic tires everyone else was running. Holeshots, gridirons, recoils, revolvers, megabites.....etc.
