The wing looks as if it could too easily come into contact with the rear tires, being so close. That would cause some unecessary speed-scrubbing on landings. At least that's what's happened to other cars with the closer wing position. This has to be why other proven designs have evolved into a further back and/or higher wing position. Perhaps the 408's rear suspension has limited upstroke.
Otherwise, the side panes of the wing will have to be trimmed for rear tire clearance.

COME ON GUYS, just look at the CAD pics they released. Both parts are visible. Heres the link:

Yeah, we've seen the drawings. Ever attempted to fill a drawing with 125cc of fuel?

I don't think this car will have a rubbing wing or "Up-Stroke" problems. Looks pretty well designed and engineer

Some people are afraid of change and new items that look different than what they are use to. Personally I like change and new tech. This company looks like they have done their homework and pit togeather an entirely new and exciting buggy, not just some losi or AE knock off. Track time will prove it to be a good idea or not. We will see.

No mention of news on the Durango blog... Nor on Neo Buggy or BSI. At least, not yet.

Pretty clever thinking considering Durango has informed to release the car in April.

Besides cad pictures are not set in stone, if you really want to see what the air filter is going to look like just check out the pics of the serpent at the toy fair.

Unfortunately release dates and true-availability dates are typically two totally different times, even with the largest manufactures. For smaller companies, the difference typically is greater.

Seems a lot of people are put off by the size of the wing. The Durango blog said it was done to protect the cooling head which I think is a great idea. I'm very impressed with the car and plan on picking one up.

the car looks totally bitchin but time will tell. I gotta see it on track before I make a determination. but you guys crack me up with the whole "engineer" stuff.....gerd builds elevators....thats a far cry from building race cars...one is metal boxes that carry people with no wheels on it and the other is 1:8 scale racing vehicles, pretty sure thats like oil and water. but he has had some good success with the 4wd electric cars over the past so i will be interested to see how Hupo does with it in actual races and not just test sessions.
