Why don't you buy them all "Motor Jud", you have more engines than the hobbyshop I work at.

Default Check out

the Alpha engine threads here and decide, looks like lots of work, sealing the carb finding parts, bearings going bad. Heck man just get a Nova and break it in. Oh yeah it needs a new glow plug every now and then....

I have a OS speed With 16 gallons trough it it was fast and reliable as hell!! i rebuild it and now have a JX piston and sleeve and it is now my back up motor. Now i have installed in my buggy and truggy the Works B5, an itallian mill for 185 if you know where to buy it and it is one of the fastest motors i have driven including the Speed and it has nearly 2 Gallons!!!

the o'donnell ss 21 is also a good engine for the price, coupled with a re10 pipe and 7mm restrictor i have seen them go 10 mins in a buggy. i have about 5 gallons on the first one i purchased and havent done a thing to it other than replace a o-ring here and there and seal it up. i also have one in my truggy as well so it has plenty of power for either! nice little 3port mill for sure!

Go to the thread and read for your self. Not one bad things that I can see from reading. Plus the motors just rip. The only engines I have mind for this season is the Werks B5 or the Alpha line. I know the Alpha line is good, really good. Honestly I hope that one day we all realize that the majority of things in this industry is over priced and we begin to show it by purchasing lower priced items (like the Alpha motors) and slap the industry in the face and bring it to reality. $500+ for motors is just ridicules when you can do the same with $200. I applaud (and very loudly may I add) to the men responsible for the newer lower priced high performance motors on the market today.

Edit- here is the link to the Alpha motors thread

Ummmm... exactly where have you seen any mention of having to seal the carb (although I do that to EVERY engine I run, including the Novarossi currently in my truck,) or problems finding parts (RC Pro Products has them in stock) or a mention of bearings going bad?

(Maybe you mean the Orion Alpha engines, which are Rossi based I believe... ???)

It must really suck to be a crappy driver like Ryan Lutz who has to settle for second-rate engines like the Alpha Plus line for sponsorship, huh?
