Default help with lipo rx pack

Ok I am thinking about switching my latemodel to lipo rx pack my question is what is the best way to discharge them to the storage voltage after race day since I know I won't run it down low enough on a race day

Don't bother discharging. As long as the pack isn't fully charged, or below 3.2v per cell, just leave it.

Ok wanted to make sure because I had seen where if they where stored above I think it was 3.7 per cell it was bad for them and I know running them 2 low is bad we only race every other weekend and I didn't want to leave one charged and have it go bad

3.7v per cell is 80% discharged, 20% capacity remaining. That's really as far as you want to discharge it. Any farther is hard on the cells. If you're below that, charge it to something like 3.9-4.0 and you'll be good.

My hyperion charger has a store mode for lipos. It leaves the 2 cell lipos at around 7-7.2v. I am not sure how many mah. But like stated above not fully charged and not fully drained.

From my experience and what I've read, you really just don't want it near a full charge or under the 20% mark. Anywhere between 7.4 and 8.0 should be alright.

I actually tend to usually leave my packs charged, which isn't the best thing in the world, but I haven't had any problems with any batteries yet.

they wont show any sign's of it for a little while till you stop peaking at 4.2 per cell and one cell might fall off before the other 2 or 3 or 4 w/e config you run....its in the long term life that storing at 100% is bad.
