Orion Servos

Anybody using the new high speed and high torque servos? If so how do they compare to the 9100 series JR servos? Im thinking about getting a used roller buggy and thinking about useing these.

I havent gotten much runtime on mine yet, but so far they are good. A little noisy compared to other servos Ive used.

ive run a few of these servos for awhile. at first they r loud ether ive gotten used to it or they have quieted down a bit over time. I have never had a problem with my orion servos and performance is pretty good and they r light. I also have a jr 9100s and it claims faster speeds then it seems to deliver because the red orion servo seems faster to me. the only bad thing i can say about the orions is that a gear set is fifty dollars and there is no warranty I know of.

Orion Vortex servos do not, I repeat, DO NOT have an extended warranty.

Horizon Hobbies is the new Orion distributor in North America.
Horizon Hobbies Team Orion DOES NOT service Orion servos.

Their warranty covers against manufactures defects ONLY at date of purchase.

You will be out money and a servo if the servo has issues and needs servicing.

My 2 month old Orion Vortex servo purchased brand new took a dump.
I am SOL!

I will only purchase HItec 2 year warranty,
jr 3 year warranty or Futaba 1 year warranty from now on.
All 3 have excellent customer service.

It was a costly lesson learned the hard way.
Never again.

How Long is Hitec's Warranty ?

All Hitec RCD products are warranted against defects for a period of two (2) Years from the date of purchase. During this period we will repair or replace at our discretion any defective products. You should always retain your original receipt as proof of the date of purchase.
