I just bought some RIT dye and did it that way. I went out and bought some AKA wheels and dyed them up and they look awesome.

IF Your racing Black wheels are the LAST thing you want....as soon as you loose a little day light the truck is A lot harder to see..there's a reason we run Bright bright paint jobs....make's it a little easier on the eyes....this is if your racing...if bashing then no worries.

Normally when you see a truck or buggy at the track with black wheels you know they are a rookie! Its like in Nascar, they have the orange stripe on the bumpers to worn the others.

Learned this lesson the hard way. Had a nice black on black rc8. Looked badass until I went to an afternoon race that ran into the evening... I could barely see my car on the back straight by the time the mains came around. Now I am all about the white wheels with bright orange, yellow, green or white bodies.

I can see black wheels white wheels orange wheels pink wheels, whatever it is.
The lighting system at our track we used to race was very very good so we had no issues at all.

I think you will be fine with black wheels as long as you have a bright body.Dont be afraid to run what you want just because other people thinks its wrong.
