Good .21 for around $200 ????

Hello everyone, im in search of some knowlage from you nitro guys, i just recently traded for an RC8 from a fellow RCTech member, and was going to convert it but i got to thinking about keeping it nitro and was wondering if there were any pretty decent engines for around $200-$300 that would make this buggy scream down the back straight?
Thanks
Daniel

Werks B5 hands down! Look no further!
Pair it up with a thunder tiger 2035 or Werks 2013 pipe.
OD97T plug.

One of my fellow club members loves his Werks B7. It runs great, has nice even temps, and gets great mileage. Amain has it listed for $259. I'm not sure how it compares to the B5.

The O'Donnell Super Sport (SS.21) is a good, reasonable cost motor. It's listed for $229. It's been getting good reviews. It'll likely be the next motor I buy...

Of course, you can never really go wrong with an OS V-Spec in a buggy. They're listed for $299. Put a 2050 pipe on that baby and hang on!

VSPEC!!!! And look no further. You can send me a love you card later.
Tower Hobbies
Spend $300.00 or more and save $60.00 016GR
Its 299.99 add a glow plug for 8.99 and there you go 248.98 and free shipping on orders over $99 and you are set.

there are alot in that range...Nova P5 comes to mind for around $240. i have had a Nova N21 limited which is right under $200 and with an 086 pipe it rips...you are about to get flooded though with suggestions. Good luck

I'm running the RB Killer 9 and it's great. Plenty of power for my truggy and I'm getting 10 minute run times with the 7mm restrictor and 053 pipe.

Dynamite .21 XP with a Dynamite 086 pipe! Stays with just about anything, holds a tune and is reliable.

For the budget your on, The Novarossi N21 BF Limited. You can find them for $149. Then all you need is the Ofna 086 or Dynamite 086 Pipeset. For right at $200, Your set.

Just to let you guys know Stormerhobbies.com has the o'donnell engine for $209.95 .

itsshemp 12-18-2009 07:50 PM

check out the Alpha engine thread. There is a bunch of information, and some testing done by Track Stars Services- Jimmy Wright. He has been running these engines exclusively, and has done some pretty serious testing, and reviews. There are 3 to choose from all in your price range.

I personally am going to be running one this weekend. We did some tuning last night, and this thing (Alpha F850) is a screamer.:D

Check it out.

Nova's are always a good choice!

Depends if you want taiwan made engines or italian made engines

There are big differences in metallurgy between the two
