Heh, as these Taiwanese engines beats or meets the Italians in performance it seems that's the only argument left for you to use is this metallurgy thinggy. Also as positive thing it's pretty much impossible to prove wrong so thumps up for selecting that one

Anyway considering that RB thinks it's safe to make their engines in Taiwan (K9) why would the Taiwan based ones be any worse ? For sure if you don't know what to do then there might be issues but it's not directly related to materials as they are available around the world.

i run one in an st-rr and could not be happier with the engine!

i will have to agree
there are a couple novas that are great engines in your price range.

the n21bfl Great motor pretty easy to tune.
and the p5xl (i dont have any experience with this motor)

there is also the new ofan jl .21 for around 270 or so.

Like materials may be available around the world but generally Taiwan doesn't buy them. The difference in metal quality between european and Taiwanese engines has long been proven. Italian engines last longer than Asian engines every single time. RB has taken a big risk with their reputation.

Taiwanese engines have gotten better in the last 5 years but their prices have come up while the Euros have somehow kept their prices down. It's still a no-brainer to me. Buy an Italian made engine.

yes i agree. i have one in my rc8 and it has a TON of power. not the best engine for runtime but with the right pipe u can get it up there. crazy engine though. i would recommend it!

Yea, for under 200.00 it's very tempting. I will probably get one for s@#$s and grins. I do love my Nova Plus 4 though.

we get 7 or 8 in a buggy and 8 in truggy, we run JP3 in truggy and an RB pipe in buggy. the only reason we dont run the RB pipe in truggy is because its to long but that engine loves that pipe.

I'am looking to put a Jammin JPX 21 in my X2 CRT truggy, and i have the JP3 pipe now. You say that the RB pipe is better with this engine??? But too long to put it in a truggy I don't understand why? a truggy platform is longer than a buggy one, no??
And wich RB pipe you suggest?

I don't know if i'll take a stock JPX21 or a moded one.......Because i've always ran .28 engine in my truggy, and i'am scared to not have enough power with this .21
