hi im thinking of getting a losi 8ight centre smart diff but do i need it? coz the track i race is very dusty and is very short and technical but is it worth it?

Yes, but I prefere them in the front, not center.

I didn't like all the extra on power steering. It didn't really help my times.

Too much in high speed sweepers. I like regular diffs but I wanted the front to yank the nose around exiting turns and to act like 7 on power and 2 off.

i dont know i havent been racing for a week or 2 but i will find out coz i found a centre smart diff for a good price and i know they are good but im unsure if they are really needed coz the track i race is a small and technical so it is stop start corners

would the smart diff fit the losi 8ight 1.0? because it says for losi 2.0

i decided not to get a smart diff coz i spoke to someone who has got both of them in there losi and they said it made no difference to how his car handled although they tried everything ( only using 2 springs, all different rates of springs) so they are going back to normal diffs

I have tried smart diffs in the front and center. In offroad the center is the only one that makes any sense to me, but I dont prefer either. I gave them a fair shot and tried them for a while and practiced with them, but just never liked them. If you Blip the throttle around turns than I would say they are not for you. The reason I say that is When you completely disengauge from the throttle your car is totally loose. If you are more of a "Squeeze the throttle driver" than it might be exactly what you are looking for. But my personal oppinion is that they hurt more than they help.
