Default START A MOVEMENT TO HAVE RACES AT RCX THIS YEAR

This would be a great way to get alot of people to show up! It would be great to have the show and the races going on at the same time! Off road and onroad! What do ya think?

The GLARCRC has held on road races at RCX for the past 2 years. It would be nice to have off road racing as well. The indoor dirt track is used mainly for demo and for the pro races, not sure if it would work for a 'normal' race program.

It would be pretty cool if they made it a outdoor race. Not much space inside the fairplex for all the pit tables.

Just think of the amount of people that would be at this race! I know that greater LA has a race and that is awesome. To include other types of r/c racing would be super rad! It would also get more vendors involved. It would be cool to see this happen!

I would pay good money if it was organized like a JBRL type race. It would bring alot or racers and move it to another level. Im sure the state of the economy would be a factor. With the new classes of Sc and electric it would get more people interested.

This would be really easy to pull off. Everybody would have to have spectrum to avoid radio conflicts. I know of a few promoters that would love to promote their respective races so scoring systems would not be an issue either. And we could have some pretty rad prizes!

I think it is a great idea. To be honest the only reason I don't go, is because there is NO RACING!

We would need power for chargers. All of us have pit tables we can bring as well as shade. All we really need is tracks and peolple that would want to put on the races......Who do we need to contact to make this happen? This could be the biggest race of the year! You could literally race 3 or 4 different types of r/c in one race weekend! Maybe do like a "king of the controller"tm series for the driver that could place the highest in 3 different types of r/c racing????? RAD

Well, there IS racing at the show, but it's limited on the indoor off-road track because they're squeezing between companies that do product demos throughout the day. The put an invitational race together that's been running for quite a few years, and then there's a full on-road race outside. They could do an outdoor off-road race as well, but it would cost about 40,000 to bring in the dirt to make an off-road track outside. It would take some considerable contributions from a lot of companies to make it happen. I agree that it would be great, but the cost of an outdoor off-road track would be pretty big.

Where there is a will there is a way? Maybe Joey could chime in here regarding the dirt to be brought in??? And EVERYBODY likes Joey's layouts! For the Onroad part of it O.C. circuit or Greater LA? they both have strong programs and could possibly work together? There has to be somebody that could donate the dirt for this to happen!

It's not "will" that will make it happen - it's cash and lots of it. It would take about 10 to 12 40-yard dumptrucks (the big ones as long as a tractor trailer rig). Then you need some heavy equipment to spread it. They already have someone bringing dirt for the indoor track, but it would take about twice as much dirt for a decent size off-road track. It's very costly, so don't be disappointed if it doesn't happen.
