please help can i put a sirio .30 in losy 8t 1.0?
hi please help im kind new in this hobby and i have i quesion\\ i have a team losi 8t 1.0 with stock engine (mach 427) and i will like to upgrade the engine so im thinking in the sirio.30 bigblock or some thing like that and i just want to know if i can put this engine direct in my truggy or do i need to do mods? please help or what u guys think about the mach427? or any other good engines but not so expensive? please share ur experience any good ideas are welcome thanks |
to be 100% honest stick with a .21 engine. these trucks are monsters with a good .21 I run a 8t 1.0 with a ceo modded C6 this truck is just amazing I do not feel the need of a mbx6 or 2.0...it fits my driving and I am competitive with it everywhere I have been yet...

+1 a good .21 will serve you much better.
The Mach 427 is a good engine. Nothing at all wrong with it... if it still runs good, has good pinch, etc, keep running it. If I could still find them I'd run them. They're a little thirsty compared to the .21 engines, but still... not bad. |
thanks for all the replys

you already got your answer. |
The answer is yes, the .30 will fit.
The question is. Why do you want the .30? |

The Siro is a WASTE of power even more so since you are new and wont be able to "control" the power to get the most out of it...sell the Siro and the mach and buy a decent .21 you will be much FASTER and get more runtime per tank which IMO is more important that gobs of useless power.... if you need more of a answer then this then I can not help you.

Ryan also on the other hand is the sirio .30 a good engine for 200$ brand new in the box? thanks alot men for ur time and help |
there are SO many good engines out right now, and you will get 100 different answers. my top pick is always going to be a RB engine such as ws7,s7,c6 I run a modded c6 in my truggy and can get 14 mins on a tank and has more power then anything I have ran it against. also the o.s v-spec is another great engine I garentee someone at your local track has one as it is the most used engine in racing. also the werks B5 engine is pretty stout for the money.
its not that the siro .30 is not a good engine it is just way more then anyone needs and they are gas hogs to boot, now back in the early days of truggy when they were tanks it was very common to see .28 and .30's used but todays trucks are much lighter and more effeciant that all is needed is a .21 size engine. |
