Default Nitro buggy 1/8th post race maintenance

I would like to know what do you guys do after a days race or before the next race day in checking the buggies.
I think the main point Iím trying to find out is to what extent do you go to.
Do you follow the same procedure every time or does it change.

+1 pretty much as above for trouble free racing. After the event just depends what the car went through during the event. If heavy loads then yes strip down & check bearings pins etc. Re oil diffs & shockers, check of engine clutch bearings & springs. If light load then just a visual check over, but after time you get to know what the car needs.

Bren: you race an Xray, why would you do all of that extra work? Theres no need for that unless you go through more than 4 gallons a week!!!

People wrench too much :-)

Joseph between the teenage daughter & wife its pointless being in the house, so its an excuse to get in the garage & play. Not every one has the luxury of an xray so its tinkering for the sake of it really with nothing else to do.

When club racing i do what rider313 does. After big events i tear it all the way down , change fluids , service shocks , clean & lube bearings Etc. At the club races there is only 3 - 5 min. qualifiers then usually a 20 or 25 min A main. Not very much time .
