But seriously, there are soooo many changes in the 2.0 that you would be best served to sell your 1.0 and invest in a new or used 2.0. Anything less will provide minor at best improvements. Not a good enough cost/benefit ratio, IMHO. Might as well just keep it a 1.0 and save the money on the chassis since the 1.0 isn't that bad of a rig in original form.

Exactly what I've been trying to say, but no-one listens to me. IDK it's really up to them, as it's their money and truck.

since i am gone to keep it at a eight-t 1.0 ,i would like to see if i can get the eight-t 2.0 body on the eight-t 1.0, whould i have to get the 2.0 shock towers
or just the 2.0 body mounts.

To make it a true 2.0 it would be cheaper to pick up a used 2.0, there are too many parts that have changed besides the chassis and rear center driveshaft - rear shock, both towers, rear gearbox, suspension arms, servo saver, radio tray, throttle linkage, ackerman, ect. (I know I missed a bunch.) You can do a 1.5 conversion and just do the chassis and rear driveshaft, but it wont handle like a 2.0, it will improve the handling, just not 2.0 good.

so if i just get the 2.0 t chassis and the longer drive shaft than i will be a
1.5 thats fine with me whould the 2.0 t body fit right on or do i have to get just the 2.0 body mounts.

I think just lower the body mounts on the tower. I know it has been done. I would search the 8T 2.0 thread or post a question in here>>>

8T 2.0

But you did it the right way, not just a chassis conversion.
