Dynamite 086 vs. OFNA 086
will the Dynamite 086 pipe perform as well as the OFNA 086? will they be the same or perform different? im looking for a pipe that will tame the low end power down as much as possible and have real good top end. im putting it on a jammin jpx.21 and need as much runtime as possible.
any suggestions on other pipes or anything please let me know! thanks |
They will perform the same i have run them both and they are the same pipe and perform the same. This is a GREAT pipe for the jpx.21 and it will do just wont you wont to do tame the low end and make Crazy top end power. I have on and run it on a Novarossi 3 port and it works GREAT smooths out the bottom and gives the little 3 port Ton of Top End.

will it give me more runtime than my 053 low end pipe?

yes.... I certainly would think so... |
It Should. Not a lot just a little like if you are running 8 min now you should get around 8 1/2 to 9 min with the 086 pipe.
|
Just curious....running on a really tight dryslick track with a 053 pipe now. It seems to break loose with a hard hit. In stead of using a different clutch setup, do some people use a top end pipe like 086 and use the low end lack of punch, to smooth out the power, and hook up better?
|
The 053 is designed to emphasize the bottom end, where the 086 is designed to be even and smooth from bottom to top. It isnt designed as a top end pipe. So yeah, it could help tame the bottom end while also giving better mid to top end also.

Oh, and Quad, if It was me, I'c go with the Dynamite. Only for the reason of the stinger. The Dynamite has a reinforced "web" on the stinger to help keep it from getting bent or broke in a side hit, or casing a jump, depending on how the pipe is angled. The Ofna does not have that. Still , both are good pipes, the Dynamite just might be more durable.

ok thanks everyone

9853 or similar = good runtime 9886 or similar = decent runtime. Less than 53 style 9886 = screamin top end with a hard hitting powerband at about 1/4 throttle Yes I know this for fact :) |

Low end based pipes usually create better runtime.

Not on a Picco dude ! 053 sucks ass on a Picco IMHO...... loses tons of power from bottom to top as opposed to a 086.....It also gobbles up the fuel.....
yes i am a lil biased  picco engines are good but right now not too poular in the race for fuel economy and smooth power :tire: |

all my referrals are based on what pipes do on novarossi engines ;)

i used a dynamite 086 with an ofna short header on my jpx and it worked out much the same as the ofna 086 as i have it now. 053 looked good as well but suffered in runtime maybe 30 seconds per tank and wasnt quite as smooth. another good pipe is the jp4 on the jpx but burns almost a minute less runtime. any of the 3 are great on a jpx 21
