Jean Paul @ JP racing and Jim @Fushion Motorsports/Hot Mods are the best in the biz
JP racing doesn't do v specs anymore. Hasn't in quite a while. Ed at EB Mods or Brian Carey at Pro Twister Mods. I ran 2 EB modded v specs til they were toast, wonderful engines.

EBmods

Best V-spec I ever had. I have had 3 modded ones and the EB is the only one that stood out as smoother and more fuel efficient.

I have heard good thing about some of these other guys too.

Most modders do the same concept, some are different. What are you looking for ?

My vote would be someone that has atleast a few years experience under them and a Dyno to back up teir clams.
Any fool can take a dremel and cut up the sleeve. Its in the knowing what to do and the consistancy of their work

By best I mean , the best in customer service , the best in producing a modification that is consistant , not finicky to tune , provides recommendations that are correct and can be called and is easy to talk to .

No need to mod the O.S. motors they are dialed right out of the box with more then enough power for truggy and buggy and we run the stock blue head motors.

+1.

Some will say that the pro mod is not truly "modified", but it's a damn good motor. Brad is one of the most helpful guys at the track. Just don't race with him

Give Mark 4mith @Powerhousercperformance a call. He is a super guy, easy to talk to (doesn't even have to be rc related), really really does his home work on how the engine actually functions, takes something GREAT and makes it BETTER. I have had 2 Powerhouse engines (first was a tuned grp that he custom cut on onroad p/s and put in an offroad case to make a topend monster. He likes to know your driving style, typical track configuration, and what pipe you will be using and he will make the motor fit YOU.
Afterall what does a phonecall cost nowadays?
