Chewing gum all the way, it helps to finish your car one day early prior to the race and spend some relaxation time.

A dip in the POOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!! and some mohito....

best thing i ever did was a course called "dealing with difficult people" it taught me a whole heap about "grounding" which is jus releasing tension through positive actions
the easiest way is to take a deep breath. another one is to take a few steps and lean back on your heals. there are heaps of them. i always do one of them during a pit stop and it helps me get through the longer races

It may sound crazy but I stick my tongue out. I used to grit my teeth really bad when I got nervous. Then I was having fun laughing with my tongue out in practice and it worked. I couldn't grit my teeth and I had to think about it so it calmed my nerves. Only problem is in 20 min mains man does the end of my tongue get dry!

i found yelling at the other drivers to get out of my way as im always right behind them, the odd little shunt at 60mph does wonders

The number one thing that has helped me with my nerves is racing oval....running sub-6 second laps for 4 minutes with somebody always knocking at your back door forces you to learn how to stay calm under pressure. I can't say exactly what I do to calm my nerves, I just stay as relaxed as possible and just concentrate on hitting my marks. It works for me
