anyone heard anything about it? like when it's coming out or anything. I know it's being raced as a prototype but can't find any info on it

I understood Serpent can't make it to Nitromania with the new cars. Testing still in progress to fine tune some things. Planned introduction on the Toyfair in Nürnberg early februari 2010.

i dont think you will see anything until one of these four events.

1- by some freak chance there is an actual photo of billy eastons car that surfaces some how some way in january

2- maybe, an appearence at the CRCRC race

3- or the Nuremburg fair with final production car

4- or a release on the major news sites from serpent

other than those, i am fairly certain that nothing else said about the car holds any water.....other than the fact that it is going to be a sweet lookin rig im sure becuase billy is the epidemy of a perfectionist

i've been searching for info but they seem to keep things under wrap pretty good.
I think i'll be waiting for this buggy to build my new rig. If it's anything like their on road cars it should be great

Yes the S8XX is not "racing" ready for the Nitromania, he will be on show at the toy-fair in Nürnberg and the first big race with the Serpent S8XX will be the Neo buggy 2010 (2-5 april).

The car is awesome and with some very clever designs from Billy.
Look soon for the first pictures on the Serpent websites.

Michael Salven said many years ago, Serpent will never launch a buggy for the market.

To be curious why now ? Everyone is curious and excited too.

Serpent been always a market leader especially in on road racing.

The Team Durango 1/10 electric buggy is one of the best kept secrets in 1/10 off road 4wd......was developed by Serpent and tested by serpent for the longest time, they put it in the back burner, team durango was born to sell this amazing swiss watch quality buggy....If they are working on a 1/8 buggy I don't think they will make the same mistake again

Not really how it went... Team Durango / Gerd Strenge were constantly developing buggy's and at some time they were involved with Serpent. They were working on a 4wd electric 1:10 buggy and the 1:8 nitro buggy (driven bij Jorn Neumann). Serpent did some reorganisation, relocating production and assembly and cut some costs, including mr. Strenge with his projects. Durango finalished the 1:10 buggy and put in on the market, and they are still working on the nitrobuggy. Serpent designed other buggy's wich will be on the market soon

I am sure, whatever comes out will be very good, Serpent only makes race products, just like Mugen all of there R&D is dedicated to very few products that is why all of there products are so recognized in the industry.
