I got the TE kit on a nice large open track today and broke a ball end and destroyed a new 086 pipe a quick pipe swap on the CRE P5 and i was back on the track. The car drove great today the pro brake kit is very nice, consistent, without fade and well worth the $$ IMO The BCE chassis did not dissappoint and sailed through the rough stuff with ease. The Serpent, CRE, BCE combo feels right at home on the track and puts a smile on the drivers face.

can i ask why you guys go for the Alloy braces ? i ran the first kit tonight, stock out of box. it wasnt very flash, then i had dramas driving it. std brakes and plastic braces.
i went to change the brake bias and when i removed the radio tray, my rear drive shaft from center diff was bent like a bannana. is this why you use the alloy braces ? lol. i swapped the rear end of the new build and put the pro brakes on, and presto. rear alloy brace, and Jimbos shock setup. that was for last run of the night, and with some more racing under my belt, i think it will be good. so i had some dramas, but at the end, i walked away happy, first Buggy race for me.

Yep I have bent that rear shaft like that too and the alloy brace seems to take care of it.

I have broken them all hahaha. The upgrade vortex wing is nice but I have broken many. The serpent wing is nice too.

Right now there's a losi universal wing on my cars.

I picked up the nickname Animal after I sheared off a TI shock stand off but I textured it to Cary following his eye poping performance at the DNC where he managed to break 2 trucks in the exact same spot within less than 2 mins. And we were on the grid ready to start. Hahahaha Paul says I'm his best customer at least I get to come in 1st somewhere.

Question

Will the Aluminum rear uprights work with the V2 rear drivetrain?

in the reference guide, there is an option for brakes springs etc. part number is 600281, but i can not find this part on the serpent site. are these optional softer pistons ? id like to get my brakes a little more progressive, i feel with a softer piston, that would be ideal, but can not work out what this part number consists of. thanks.

Default fun

I was at mikes hobby shop and the track wasn't quite dry, but I really wanted to run my buggy. I had a little cleanup to do afterwards.

patto i think we all had dramas last night but i reckon the sports man class is shaping to be a awesome event in two weeks they will be some good driving

the down side i have found with experamenting with the alloy braces it when the track grooves up nice it will take some grip out of the car

i dont mind taking grip out, in a couple of places i was traction rolling every now and then. but id rather not bend shafts at the cost of loosing a little grip.
was my first run for off road, if you count 2 meets back in 2006. i just want to improve on the car, and then its up to my driving. i got down to 40.4 in the last run with the alloy braces, if i can get my brakes to be more progressive then i will be happy.

Yes, I did need it bad . It was a lot of fun. I did get most of the mud on the buggy from playing around the outside of the track.
