ofna Picoo rtr vs. Ofna Hyper 7 TQ black
I am looking into racing 1/8 scale nitro buggies. I was wondering which one would be better as a first time nitro buggy for racing at my local track.

The OFNA Picco is the way to go in my opinion. That little engine is unbeatable compared to the Hyper .21 3 Port that comes in the Hyper 7 TQ Black. I know 2 people who have the Picco buggy and they love it. One of the guys has over 5 gallons through that Picco engine and its still going strong. The buggy is also tough as nails and it comes with the Jammin 16mm Big Bore shocks which are real nice. The shocks are $60 a set to buy new so you get $120 in upgrades right off the bat. The Hyper 7 comes with old style 14mm shocks which are pretty lame. The only thing you'll want to look at ASAP is replacing the radio and servo's with higher quality stuff but that goes for the Picco Buggy and the Hyper 7.

Picco
Picco is the way to go. i have one myself and i love it. it comes with pull start but in my opinion isn't even that big of a deal. they are naturally cold blooded and the first start of the day can be a little rough but once you get that done it starts mint every time. the hyper 7 has a junky 3 port, i know a guy who got one and it lost compression immediately. the picco is definitely the way to go.

My 8 port wore out rather quickly. The 3 port seems a little more durable. The Picco engine is still a better choice though.
