Weight can vary considerably, depending on the type of equipment you use, the type of rim/insert/tyre choice, and even how you paint/decal your body, so for the most part, it's irrelevant.
Some here will likely disagree with me, but in my opinion, unless you're a very skilled driver, a lighter car will not necessarily amount to quicker lap times, and depending on what type of weight reduction methods one chooses to employ, it can sometimes adversely affect reliability.

yea i might have disagree with that i had a tank hyper 7 buggy and my lap times wrent that good and im a inbetween good driver,and i have a losi eight 1.0 b and my lap times are not bad there better i think if anybody has a lighter buggy can get faster lap times not all,i think my eight weights 7.2 pounds property with the fuel engine etc

My losi 1.0 truggy weighs 8lbs 13.6oz The only thing i changed was the shock towers to carbon fiber, put lunford turnbuckles on and run the new proline calibers(saved 4oz's by switching to them)
