i bought a hobby pr matador about a year ago and blew up the engine.
my friend bought the same car at the start of the year and i have been helping him get the car running well.

main probs:
engine unreliable
steering servo crap
weak parts (my freind ses after he rips both sides of the front suspension when hitting a gutter twice.
tires are crap

solutions:
replaced the GO back plate with a backplate off of an Axerossi Cobra. runs great now.

replaced with a colt steering servo and put a futaba 27mhz stick radio in it. radio goes well now

stop my mate from driving close to anything at all.

replaced tires with new proline and VP pro ones. good grip

great car now fast and mostly responsive and all for less than $350
